INDUSTRY: CONSTRUCTION & AEC
IT for businesses where the work happens at the site.
Multiple job sites, mobile workforce, and project software.
A construction or architecture-engineering-construction firm runs across an office and a rotating set of job sites. The IT environment has to support both ends and the project management tools that connect them.
- Office and field workforce on one engagement
- Project software and field-to-office sync supported
- Mobile devices treated as managed devices
A construction or architecture-engineering-construction firm runs across an office and a rotating set of job sites. The office handles accounting, project management, document control, and design work. The field handles execution, daily reporting, and mobile coordination. The same environment supports both ends, and the project management software that ties them together has to keep working when a project manager is on a phone in a trailer. Our construction IT engagements are informed by the technology guidance the Associated General Contractors of America publishes for member firms.
Why construction IT is different.
The work happens away from the office. Project managers, superintendents, and field staff spend most of their day on a job site, and the technology has to be reliable away from the office network.
Mobile devices are part of the work, not a perk. Tablets running daily reports, phones running project management apps, and field laptops uploading photos and documents all need to be managed devices, not personal hardware.
Project management software ties the office to the field. When the platform is unavailable, work continues but coordination breaks. The platform vendor handles the application; we handle the access path, the integrations, and the network underneath.
Job sites change. The firm sets up technology in trailers, opens connectivity for new sites, and tears it down when the project finishes. The lifecycle is faster than typical office IT, and the security has to keep up.

What we provide.
Four areas of work tailored to the way the industry actually operates. Sized to your firm, not to a generic playbook.
Office and field workforce on one stack
Office workstations, field laptops, tablets, and phones supported under the same identity, the same security baseline, and the same helpdesk. Field staff get the same support experience as office staff regardless of where they are working.
Mobile device management
Tablets and phones used for the business managed through a documented mobile device policy, with corporate data separated from personal use, encryption enforced, and remote wipe available when a device walks away. Standard configuration applied across the fleet.
Project software and field sync
Project management software and the integrations between field and office systems supported as part of the engagement. When a daily report does not sync, work stops on both sides; we treat the integration as critical infrastructure.
Job-site connectivity
Trailer setups, temporary site connectivity, and the network for site offices designed and supported. Standard configuration on each new site so field staff have a predictable experience as the project portfolio rotates.
How we approach construction IT.
A few things that shape how we run the engagement specifically for this kind of firm.
Field-first design
The field is where the work happens. Helpdesk response, mobile device management, and remote access designed around the field experience first, with the office layered in behind it. Most managed services providers do this in reverse.
Mobile devices treated as managed devices
Phones and tablets are not personal devices the IT team ignores. They are configured against a security baseline, encrypted, and managed through the same identity as everything else. A lost device should not be a data exposure event.
Project software is critical infrastructure
When the project management platform is unavailable, the field cannot coordinate with the office. We treat the platform with the same response priority as a critical office system, and we coordinate with the platform vendor when the issue is on their side.
Job-site lifecycle handled
New sites get standardized connectivity quickly; closing sites get cleanly decommissioned. The firm should not be improvising trailer technology each time a new project breaks ground.

Frequently asked questions.
Can you support our field staff?
Yes. Field laptops, tablets, and phones are part of the standard engagement, configured with the same identity and security baseline as office workstations. Helpdesk response works the same whether the user is at a desk or in a trailer; the support experience travels with the user.
Will you work with our project management software vendor?
Yes. The vendor handles the application; we handle the user accounts, the integrations to your accounting and document management systems, and the access path from the field. When the integration breaks, we treat it as one problem to solve rather than punting between vendors.
How do you handle new job sites?
Each new site gets standardized connectivity and setup so field staff have the same experience across the portfolio. Trailer setups, temporary connectivity, and site office networks designed against your typical project pattern rather than improvised each time.
What about lost or stolen mobile devices?
Mobile devices are managed through your identity provider with encryption enforced and remote wipe available. A lost or stolen device is a routine incident: the device is wiped remotely, the user is reissued hardware, and the data exposure is contained.
